Visit Öland, an island in the Baltic Sea connected to the mainland with a 7 km long bridge. Öland is an attractive tourist destination and famous for its good beaches and sunny climate. It is also famous as a culinary destination with many local specialities.

Here in this Nordic wine district the Dahlberg family has established a wine yard of 3 ha with production of both red and white wines. From the farm distillery comes different brandies like grappa, cognac, whisky, calvados etc.

On the Wannborga Estate of about 800 ha the family also has a sheep production and a butchery from where you can have many specialities like different sausages, salami, dried and smoked lamb ham, pâtés and much more. All delicates from the butchery can be tasted in the cosy restaurant together with some of the wines from the farm. The restaurant and shop are situated around an lovely medieval court yard with buildings of thick limestone walls.

All production on the farm is organic certified.

In the surroundings you will find many interesting paths for a nice stroll through the beautiful landscape with meadows and pastures where the sheep are grazing and with open views over the sea.

About the tours
A guided tour around the winery, distillery and wine yard can be arranged. You can Of course combine with a tasting of the wines and some of the lamb dishes from the restaurant.

Activities
For our guests and other visitors we can arrange events and receptions like weddings, birthdays, conferences etc. In accordance to the theme of a real wine vacation Wannborga can offer many interesting activities like; wine and lamb based cooking courses, wine tastings, courses about winemaking, terroir and tending of wineyards in cold climate, courses in distilling and “snaps”- making, cray fishing and cooking, grape harvest etc.

About the accommodation
There are two charming cottages on the farm with 5 double rooms, 2 single rooms and one family suite with 4 beds in two connected rooms. Not shower and WC in all rooms. The guesthouses also includes cosy sitting and TV rooms and a conservatory. In the garden you can find nice places to sit and perhaps have barbecue in the evening.

About the restaurant
Breakfast is served in the restaurant situated just beside the guesthouses. During summer the restaurant is open daily and it’s an heaven for lovers of lamb meat. Here you have the opportunity to enjoy some our famous lamb dishes and taste our wines and brandy from the distillery. Our evenings with barbecue and a small jazz band playing in the court yard are something you shouldn’t miss. They are very popular.
