In the heart of the most beautiful hill country of Tuscany, inside of a wonderful farm among century-old olives, vines and cypresses we invite you to spend a farm holiday in ancient barns, restored according to the Tuscan taste or in a 16th century villa with a few refined and cosy rooms. The Villa has its own large swimming-pool with a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside where you can pass relaxant days in close contact with nature. Come and discover a warm, rarefied atmosphere visit our historical cellars as well as the modern and still operating ones see all the phases of the manual and mechanical grape harvest, taste our CHIANTI COLLI FIORENTINI and MERLOT wines, our vinsanto, grappa, extra-virgin olive oil and all the basic ingredients of the great Tuscan cuisine. We owners will be ready to welcome you, to accompany you, to advise you and, why not, to cuddle you during your stay.

The glamour of the ancient times

In this relaxing and only environment, had been modeling for the years of history, the guests can find the ancient farm, restructured respecting the old materials as ceiling with beams showing and terracotta tiles, new and old terracotta-tiled floors and an ancient fireplace. In the villa there are large halls, furnished according to the ancient Tuscan way, suitable for playing host to any of party or happening, a very beautiful kitchen with a large, working fireplace, a courtyard paved with stones and a charming Italian garden, closed, very romantic, dating back to the 19th century with a central bower with roses and box flower-beds. Underground you can find cellars to visit and good wines to taste. You will live the wonderful sensation to live in a villa on a human scale, where everything you see is both impressive and intimate. In the small village there are restaurants, a post office, a bar, a supermarket, a newspaper kiosk, a church and a petrol pump open 24 hours a day.

About the tours
Fattorie Giannozzi is pleased to organize for his guests visits to the private 16th Century Country Residence and to the Historical Cellars beneath with an ancient Grindstone Mill and with a collection of more than 2.000 prestigious bottles from the past. Visits are organized from Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to to 6 p.m. and they must to be booked in advance.

About the accommodation
The farm has several apartments drawn by ancient barns restored according to the Tuscan taste ceiling with beams showing, new and old terracotta-tiled floors, stone stairs but they have the most modern comforts. The swimming pool ( 8 x 16 meters ) is behind the apartments Freesia, Myrtle, Sage, Mallow, Hut ,equipped with sunbeds, gorgeous view over the countryside. It is open from 10.05 to 30.09.

In the historical 16th century villa there are, instead, six rooms, all of them with ancient forniture and with B&B accomodation. The owners speak English and French and are ready to welcome you; open 365 days a year. Animals are welcome, but they must be declared on booking.

Driving directions
Take the Firenze Certosa exit on the A1 motorway and turn soon into the Clearway to Siena. Exit at TAVERNELLE VAL DI PESA (third exit) and turn left towards Tavernelle; after about 4 km., at the first roundabout turn right towards Certaldo – Marcialla. Go straight at the next roundabout, then turn right at the last one towards Marcialla; after exactly 900 metres, turn right at the signboard “FATTORIE GIANNOZZI”: a short unsurfaced road among the cypresses will take you to the modern cellars, we will be there waiting for you.
