Blanville is a dream come true: an estate in the Languedoc region that produces great wines. In 1997 our family left the comforts of Parisian life to embark on this passionate, yet unpredictable adventure with the help of a few friends who accepted to invest in our dream.

The winery, Chais de Blanville, nestles up the Château de Rieutort, an elegant eighteenth century castle surrounded by its vineyard of vins de pays. It cultivates 47 hectares, 30 of which are on AOC soil in the Grés de Montpellier zone. All our grapes are vinified in our winery.

The quality of our terroirs, and the competence, rigor and commitment of our team have made Blanville a renowned estate in the Languedoc.

We apply the cultivation principles of "supervised control", which combines tradition and modern technology. Chemical treatment is kept at a minimum. Yields are rigorously controlled and selected stock by stock. The average yield for all AOC wines and vins de pays is close to 30 hI per hectare. Grapes are primarily harvested manually and are sorted, pressed and picked off from the bunch. Production reaches 150,000 barrels per year.

Blanville wines have been awarded numerous national and international distinctions and medals. They are sold directly from the vineyard as well as by many cellars in France and abroad. Blanville wines are found on the menu of many gourmet restaurants in France.

About the accommodation
With its two double-bedded guest rooms and its two en-suite rooms, the Château Rieutort de Blanville offers a lodging of charm, a true haven of intimacy and serenity, in a family environment.

Each room (double beds) looks on to the park and has its own private bathroom/WC. The double suite is completed by a 100 sm terrace with a spectacular view of the Cevennes and the Estate vineyard.

Rieutort is not an hotel. It's a home open to you and where you will feel welcome, the home of the owners of Blanville Wine Estate.

Driving directions
Rieutort is located on the road going from Montagnac to Gignac (D 32), at 10kms at the north of Pézenas and 35kms to the west of Montpellier.

If you arrive from the north by the highway A75 take the exit 57 or 58 and if you arrive from the south by the highway A9 take either the exit 33 or 34.

Furthermore there are two airports in the area near Béziers (at 35 kms) and Montpellier and the TGV (high speed train) serve three station nearby : Montpellier, Sète and Agde.
